About the Author
Senior Master Sergeant James L. Hudson distinguished himself during his 28 years in the U.S. Air Force. He served in the Korean War, and was assigned to southern Japan when Occupational Forces were in control. He was also stationed in Vietnam as an advisor to the Vietnamese Air Force. At Andrews Air Force Base, he was assigned to Logistic Support for Air Force One under Presidents Eisenhower, Kennedy, and Johnson. Following his retirement, he worked in a managerial capacity for Lockheed Air Service and Missiles & Space. The Greatest Rescue is his first book. He is currently working on a sequel.

A gripping story of a deeply rebelious person who gained the greatest victory. The history vignettes worked in throughout are helpful at giving the persective. The copy editor needs some new glasses as there are too many typos, etc. An excellent read for me.Product details

It certainly met my expectations, tremendous respect for those who put their lives on the line time and again to help others in peril on the sea.
A facinating book and hard to put down. Filled w/ stories from the time of James Hudson's birth until "the greatest rescue". So many varied experiences that at one point I began to wonder if I was reading fiction. The endearing quality of the book is that it touches the many different facets of people's lives. Whether you are a parent, a sibling, a student, military, non-military, wife/mother, father/husband (the list could go on) there is a piece of James'story that is just for you. I am looking forward to the sequel.
